HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF A POLICE REPORT

POLICE RECORDS REQUEST FORM

  • Many records are available electronically; providing an email may allow us to expedite your request.
  • Records may be picked up in person at the University Safety Complex on the Storrs campus. However, if you would like the records to be mailed, please provide your address.
  • Although a reason is not required, it assists us in gathering all the records requested.
  • If you do not know the incident number, please provide additional information that will assist us in locating the record(s) requested (for example: Name, Date, Location, etc.)
  • Select date MM slash DD slash YYYY
  • All UConn Police records are maintained at the University Safety Complex on the Storrs campus, located at 126 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06269.
    • Police records are released in accordance with the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act
    • Copy of incident reports may be available for pick up at the UConn Police headquarters located at 126 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06269 or by mail within two weeks.
    • UConn Police Headquarters Records Division (Storrs) hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Copies of incident reports with an arrest will not be given until a disposition from court is received.
