UCONN'S ANNUAL SECURITY AND FIRE REPORT

CLERY COMPLIANCE

The UConn Division of University Safety invites all University employees and students to read the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.

The University of Connecticut prepares this report in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 20 USC §1090(f), and Connecticut General Statute 10a-55m as amended by Public Act 12-78 (An Act Concerning Sexual Violence on Campus) and Public Act 14-11 (An Act Concerning Sexual Assault, Stalking and Intimate Partner Violence on Campus).

This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of Connecticut; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The report also includes institutional policies on campus safety and security, policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, the reporting and investigation of sexual assault and other matters.  In addition to crime statistics, the report also includes statistics on reported fires in on-campus student housing facilities.

Annual Security & Fire Report – All Campuses

This report is prepared in cooperation with many departments throughout the university along with local law enforcement agencies. These entities provide updated information on their policies, educational efforts and programs to comply with the Clery Act.

Campus crime, arrest, and referral statistics include those reported to the University of Connecticut Police, designated Campus Security Authorities (CSA) as defined under the Act, and local law enforcement agencies. Each year, this notification is sent to all enrolled students, faculty and staff. The notification provides information on how to access the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report online. Written copies of this report may also be obtained at the Division of University Safety at 126 North Eagleville Road, Storrs.
